Hi Isaac,
I really enjoyed your post on this.
I would like to add images to header and text to footer to word docs in sharepoint lib
My goal is users will pic the image and text they would like to add.
The images and text could be even stored in libraries or list.
Do you think this is possible with the same approach you have here with DocumentID.?

Isaac, I ran into this same issue today – instead of uninstalling Office Web Apps, I ran psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force, which gave an exception and didn’t do anything except remove the “This farm is upgrading” flag. My powershell script to configure the farm and services worked just fine after that.
